Doesn’t have WiFi. In the questions, someone says it has WiFi. I assumed “smart Blu-ray player” meant WiFi. We have an identical looking model that has WiFi that I assumed I was ordering. Disc play feature works great. Unfortunately ours is in a location where a wired internet connection is not practical. You live and you learn...
Firstly, there is no WiFi on this unit but there is a LAN plug for a hardwired connection if you need one. I needed a very basic and cheap blu-ray / DVD player to watch some workout DVDs. The unit works well and as expected. For $49 reconditioned, the price was perfect. Best of all, it came with its own HDMI cable. When I tried to switch the cable out for another that was a little longer, it did not work. The enclosed cable worked perfectly. Works well with my Samsung smart TV.
I own the WiFi version similar to this model. This is why I gave it Five Stars for setup, picture quality, and ease of use. This model I ordered by accident thinking it was a WiFi model. So, if youre looking for a WiFi model this is NOT the model. Ethernet Cable Plugin Only.
Update: I got the actual product and I am very happy. They need to mention it does come with a remote control (and batteries). Just hooked it up and played a move and so far so good! It is all I had hoped and more, considering it wasnt clear that it came with a remote. Add in the free HDMI cable and this to me is quite a bargain.
So easy to use! I dont have Wi-Fi/internet right now, but Im excited to have the apps when I do.
This DVD player has all the features of higher end models just at a better price. Ive only had it a month and played just a few DVDs through it so far, but it does everything I need it to do.

Broke down 3weeks.dont waste it money.
