Epson Expression Photo XP-960 Wireless Color Photo Printer with Scanner and Copier and Claria Photo HD 277 Black Ink Cartridge Ink and T277 Claria Photo HD Ink Cartridges - Color Multi-pack

I bought this about 14 months aho and in the first 5 months I was on the phone with Epson Product support. They had to replace it! Toast. The replacement lasted until September 2018. About 14 months. The same problem. After replacing the ink with with Epson OEM ink I had a hard time recognizing a cartridge. Went into the setup to pen the ink cart and re-snaped them into place and then the blue off and in on light began endlessly blinking. No way to get out of the blinking mode. The exact same problem the original presented and it appears to be something with the chip in the cartridge which does not allow any after market inks to be used. Epsons lost me as a customer. My printer is epson. I have used three of the Epson photo scanners and some odds and ends products. I ham through with Epson.

After going through a number of other printers over the past couple of decades I have found a multifunction printer I really love. I never knew one could be so happy with a printer. This machine operates flawlessly with three separate paper drawers; one for letter size plain paper, one for small photo paper up to 5x7 inch or envelopes, and one rear feed for larger photo paper up to 11x14. Text quality and print quality are both excellent. The printed product is placed in a tray which protrudes while printing and prevents it from falling to the floor. Ink cartridge replacement is easy. It operates perfectly in the WiFi mode. There is much more but the bottom line is that this is printer that can make you happy. For those needing a printer I would recommend the Epson XP 960 highly without reservation.

I have had nothing but problems with this printer, anything that could go wrong, does goes wrong... To numerous to mention. The one thing that gets me is the ink replacement, the ink levels have a mind of their own, one second they are half way then the next second 2 or 3 of them are bone dry, I think it is a scam... I wont buy another Epson printer ever, I plan on "Damn Blasting" them all over the internet as well... "THEY ARE DIRTY ROTTEN FILTHY CROOKS"

This was a replacement for an older Epson Artisan 700, which was working fine, but had problems communicating with my new router. I redeployed that printer on another iMac where I could connect it directly via USB. The XP-960 is a very nice printer, with many convenient upgrades from my Artisan 700, especially the user interface. This interface has a nice color touch screen, with intuitive controls. Another "must have" for me was the ability to print on CDs and DVDs. Ive found that this feature does not exist on other brands of printer. I also love the powered paper tray that catches the printed pages when they come out of the printer. With my old printer, I sometimes forgot to manually pull out the tray, which meant I was picking up a pile of paper off the floor. Now that I have owned the XP-960 for several weeks, my only beef is that the ink appears to be used up at a faster rate than I was used to with my Artisan 700. It doesnt seem like I have printed more frequently than in the past, but the black ink is already 75% gone. Of course, a full set of replacement ink cartridges sell for around $100, so I hope I get better performance out of the new "high yield" cartridges I just ordered. Time will tell. The bottom line is that I would recommend this printer, especially if you want to print high quality photos and CDs. I also love the fact that you can print on 11" X 17", but I have not yet tried that.

I just bought this "printer" to replace a five year old Canon model that was wonderful until that company decided to stop supporting it. This printer is a month old and I have used it to print nine or ten 8.5X11 photos on high quality glossy and semi-gloss paper. Results are not as sharp as previous printer, and about every other page has a line of ink globs, usually two in parallel running down the page that are still wet as the paper exits the printer. The manual suggests it’s a paper problem (of course), but different paper type from Epson and other makers produce the same results. I dare not do a multi-page run (which is what I bought it for), as I expect every couple of pages will be "ink globed" and would smear on the back of the previous sheet. Has ths company discovered a novel way to run through expensive ink even faster?

I bought this printer to print family photos. I have had it less than 3 months and have only printed at most 25 photos. It constantly jams on 4X6 Photo Glossy paper. I have tried different brands of paper to no avail. I spend more time pulling the paper cassette out (which is no easy task) than actually printing photos. I would not recommend this printer.

This product is cheaply made, poorly designed, and unreliable. The unit is made of thin and cheap plastic, the paper trays are so close that they interfere with the display panel and are hard to load, and the unit is subject to frequent malfunctions. My first unit lasted only a few months, was subject to frequent paper jams, and finally quit after many attempts to reboot. The replacement (reconditioned) unit has started making loud screeching noises after just a month. Absolutely worthless as a general home office unit. And as a stand alone photo printer, there are far better options.

So far it works great. No issues. Goes through ink a bit faster than I expected but I am a graphic designer so anything I print probably uses more ink than normal office use. Easy to set-up, intuitive to use.. nice design. Love that it prints up to 11 x 17 even if it is just single sheets. The option to have that is invaluable.

Please beware of this printer. I have had it for 1 year. The print quality is good, but I have had one constant problem. Every time I replace an ink cartridge (often), the printer does not recognize the cartridge. I have to go trough the installation >10-20 times to get this to work. I have called Epson and they are wonderful at providing lip service. I am always able to get the printer to recognize the cartridge but after wasting an hour or so. I have purchased the cartridges from Amazon and most recently from Epson directly thinking that something could be wrong with them. The installation never works in < 10 tries. You will be very frustrated if you have this problem. There are 6 cartridges so this is not an infrequent problem.

After only two years of infrequent use, it made approximately only 200 sheets of prints. WIFI connection then failed. Since the wireless router is working properly with all other devices, I determined WIFI of this printer malfunctioned. $1/page of printing cost.
