The feel of Alcantara is better than the material used in the usual type cover, and the light color looks refreshing. However, the palm rest retained the red tint of my sleeves after I rubbed the sleeves of a red windbreaker on it (wore it for a few days) and I have yet to figure out how to remove the red tint on the edge. Probably more like a flaw of the windbreaker rather than the keyboard, but do keep in mind it gets dirty easily.

Its very hard for me to rate this keyboard because when I first got it, it looked so different from the pictures. The aqua keys are more subdued than in photos where they look colorfully pastel. The alcantara is borderline ugly compared to the other keyboards (I own the gray alcantara, the burgundy alcantara, as well as the green regular, and the black regular). The alcantara aqua looks very dark and almost has a dirty look straight out of the box. I wouldve preferred to even having the gray alcantara coupled with the aqua keys as the gray is brighter and cleaner looking. The reason why I got the aqua keyboard is I also own the aqua Surface pen and that pen is gorgeous (I also own the silver pen and the burgundy pen). On looks alone, I wouldve returned the aqua keyboard. It doesnt have that nice look of the burgundy or the blue. However, the typing experience is as great as ever. The trackpad is still one of the best on a Windows machine. Im rating it 4 stars because on performance and features, its a 5 but on looks, its a 3.
