I purchased this camera as an upgrade to my Canon Rebel t2i and so far I cant think of a single bad thing to say about it. There is an improvement in the photos from the t2i, though negligible. The improvement in video quality, however, is tremendous. The screen is much better than the t2i and I love the built in time lapse option. The Rode microphone is pretty good, and while it is not as good as the XLR mike I use on my external recorder, it is a huge improvement on the built in camera microphone. As far as the free stuff that is included, some if it is absolute garbage and you might as well throw it out as soon as you take it out of the box, but since it was free there is no complaints. The worst items are the tripod and the bag, and the remote doesnt work, but I already own one from Canon so I wasnt concerned. The light is descent though.

Everything that was stated is in the package. I love getting to know this camera . My only regret was I should have paid more money for the bundle that included the 55-250 mm lens. The pictures and videos are beautiful.

The value kit is really good, lots of stuff for a little more than what you would pay for just the camera, the camera itself is really good, amazing photos, if you learn how to use light to get better pictures, it will be hard to need another camera (unless you become super pro and need the last pixel of perfection), this camera is more than good for almost everybody.

This package comes with everything you need to start as a hobby photographer. I was pleased with the fact that I had all I needed to start taking photos immediately! The camera is (of course) awesome quality. All I need now is to save up for a better lense... I think the tripod is pretty sturdy and Id definitely trust it to hold my camera although if I end up adding that sweet telephoto lens that undoubtedly weighs a few pounds I might think differently : ). I would strongly recommend purchasing this kit and camera bundle if you dont want to purchase each item separately, saved me some time and I think its worth it.

Disappointing "package deal." The camera is awesome!. The RODE mic is great! The additional accessories are a joke. Some are nothing more than cheap Polaroid products. The accessories appear to be old stock that didnt sell. The camera bag was cheap and damaged straight out the box. The zipper was broken and the pull tab was laying in the bag. The tripod is a cheap piece of flimsy plastic junk. The monopod is ok, but it hard to complain about a straight pole that works. The LED Light works but appears dated and the battery box is frustrating. The additional lenses and filters work and are the only accessories worth having. Save your money and buy just the camera and Canon lenses. Buy quality accessories individually. Youll thank me in the long run.

So this is more of a review for the accessories, not for the camera. You are really paying for the one lens. The two smaller "lenses" screw on to the lens and arent true lenses. They are like the lenses you put on a phone: not true lenses so the quality isnt as good. The lens was the only accessory that was worth the price. The rest are mostly throw-away quality

So worth it. I bought one of the starter packs, and it has everything you need. This is my first "real" camera, and I had done a lot of research before selecting it. While I was waiting for it to be shipped, I was watching educational videos on youtube, and I kept thinking "ok I need to remember to get that, to buy one of those, get a memory card etc." well, when it arrived, everything I needed was in the package so I can start using my camera right away. Really happy with it so far.

I ordered this camera for my husband for Christmas after he did much research on it at the camera store. He had been a Pentax photographer for many years, and after much issues trying to find accessories locally for his cameras, he decided to switch to the Canon. He has been very happy with it and is still learning all of the features. The many accessories that come in the kit are great, and I ordered extra batteries so that he would have a good backup system. He feels the only thing that would be better is if the kit included lens hoods for the lenses. There were none in the bundle, but other than that, he seems very satisfied with it. Seller was good, and delivery quick. Havent really had it long enough to say how the quality is but so far so good.

While waiting for the camera to arrive I spent a few hours watching YouTube instructional videos, so when the camera did arrive I was up-to-speed in the basics. I want to emphasize basics because this camera does a LOT more than for which I plan to use it (rehearsal and live performance videos.) Others have delved into the technical details, so I am going to highlight my level of satisfaction with the bundle. I subtracted a star because the third-party vendor from whom I purchased did not provide the tripod or camera bag that was depicted in the product photos. The vendor, King Kong Deals, sent a flimsy tripod that did not have the hand crank, and although I did not measure the total height, it is somewhere in the 48-52 inch range. The legs were so flimsy that I dared not to trust it to safely support my camera. With the legs untelescoped, however, the tripod does make an excellent tabletop tripod. The camera bag did not have the dividers that are shown in the product photo. The remaining items, except the filters and extra lenses, are cheaply made, and frankly I had a fleeting thought that they belonged in a Crackerjack box. I pretty much knew that going in since other reviews mentioned the same opinion, so I was not disappointed in those. Bottom line: if I were to purchase this again I would not use the same third-party seller. Other than that, the camera exceeds my expectations.
