RCA RT2412 24-Inch 720p LED TV

There is a lot thats good about this little TV. The picture is fantastic on mine...much better than expected. Very crisp and sharp. The color was a bit too intense and saturated but a little adjustment and its now perfect. The TV is lightweight (feels cheap) but what do you expect for a $100 price point? I use mine in the kitchen and it tucks nicely into a corner. The only real issue is the sound. It is as tinny as other reviewers have noted but that wasnt enough to persuade me to send it back. I had some cheap computer speakers I wasnt using, plugged them in, hid them out of sight behind the TV and now the sound is great. Problem solved.

I got this TV for my son for Christmas. Its a big purchase, so I read lots of reviews before settling on this one. He switches back and forth from TV (lots of HD channels) to playing his PS3, to watching YouTube videos on his computer and using this as a monitor. It is a nice TV. I dont spend a lot of time watching it with him, as it is in his bedroom, but anything Ive seen on it is very nice, crisp, clear, and with decent contrast and color accuracy. I didnt give it the highest rating because the sound isnt the best. My son tends to turn up the volume too high, and at the higher levels the speakers have a definite buzz to them. I did think that perhaps he blew the speakers by turning up the volume, but at lower levels they are fine, so I dont think they are damaged, just not great. If you plan on hooking this up to a sound system, that will make a difference.

Just Got this RCA today. Set up was easy and everything came together well. It is early to say but so far I really like this TV. It is no Samsung or LG or Sony but for the price it is a good TV. Sound is good. Other reviews said it was bad but I put it on surround sound and it is good So far no problems with this TV. It was on sale and I got it for 300.00. I will tell others of this RCA. I am happy Its been 6 months since I have had this TV and I am buying a new TV. This TV has good picture to it but the hues are bad. I get orange faces, the color gets off at times. Other than that I am happy with the TV. Buying a new Samsung with good color to it I am tired of orange faces and red lip stick on faces. I hope others have not had this problem. I have tried working with the controls and setups but nothing works. No matter what I do I get orange faces. So sad this TV is like this.

I was worried about taking a chance on this TV because of the mixed reviews. Fortunately, mine came unscathed and working great. Its mainly a gaming TV for my wifes PS3 - and it looks fantastic. Its a great value for the price. The ports are located inset but on the SIDE (left as you face it) so there is no messing around behind the TV once it is mounted - I am VERY appreciative for that. My only complaint is that the digital out of the TV is RCA type, not optical. Youll need a converter to change that sucker to optical (about $16 - but needs its own power) if your receiver or amp needs it. So far, so good - and my wife is thrilled. Happy wife, happy life!

It takes about thirty minutes to set-up this tv, because the stand design, and the fabrication of the stand components, leave a lot to be desired. That is a non-issue if you mount the tv on the wall. The picture of this tv is not exceptional, although it is pretty good. The picture adjustments are passable, although they are not great, and they do not help a great deal. The sound quality, on the other hand, is inferior and almost annoying. The sound quality is very tinny. It is probably acceptable for conversations, but it definitely is not suitable for music. Ironically, RCAs claim to fame has been the manufacturing of good sound systems. Again, this would be a non-issue if you use a separate sound system. All told, this is a good mid-level unit.
