This is a great TV with a great picture. Just be prepared for a pretty long day of setup. First, it’s b-i-g. It’s so much bigger than I was ready for. The wall mount? Look, if you have the right kind of room that’s narrow and deep, this is probably the right choice. But if you have a typical family room - this may not work. You’re probably looking for an articulated mount or a stand mount so you can move the display around a bit so everyone has the perfect viewing angle. I was surprised that a single, middle aged man could life and move this. It’s lighter than the 42” tv it’s replacing. I bought some heavy duty legs to put it on an existing stand until my new stand arrives in a month. The first step was tearing everything I had down, cleaning it up and then reconnecting with new cables. Let me emphasize that: start with new cables. It’ll save you a lot of grief. This has a lot of built in features, and I started with the built in menu to configure the ports with all the devices turned on. It’s pretty easy to relabel all the ports with the connected device. So, instead of HDMI1 it says “Tivo”, and HDMI2 says “Apple TV”. It’s that kind of stuff that reduces family unhappiness and the endless litany of “How do I USE THIS THING?”. I set up the network connection, as this has built in internet support. The TV updated itself and I added a few apps like weather. Across the bottom, are the media apps like Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and others. So, that’s the slow part of the setup. The remote is handy and easy to use - but entering email addresses and passwords is a little bit slow. Once it’s done and the apps are activated, it’s pretty nice. There are dedicated buttons for Netflix and Amazon Prime on the remote. Hitting the house icon displays all the media apps and it’s easy to quickly choose an app. Now, the display is really nice. Very clear and vey sharp. I don’t think this is at the high end but for the price it’s a great choice. It supports bluetooth connectivity so it picked up my Sonos One and streamed to it, as well as my optical port connected Yamaha soundbar.
