Pros: * Compact and very portable * Easy to set up and use * Good color image right out of the box (slight red tinge in skin tones, but not nearly as red as other models in this price range). * Short-ish throw, which is nice for smaller rooms * A bit brighter than other models in this price range, but not much. Good for viewing bright animated movies in total darkness (see below) Cons: * Must be used in total darkness for darker movies. While I could make out the image in the twilight of a basement with mostly covered windows on a sunny day, its probably not how you would want to watch a movie for entertainment. As I stated above, inherently brighter movies and shows (e.g. animated movies and sporting events) are still dimmer than normal, but look pretty good once your eyes adjust to the difference. * Remote control is not very sensitive. The IR sensor is on the back of the unit, and the remote must be pointed directly at the unit to work. My comparison here is to a Roku remote that works when it is simply in the same room with its base unit. The remote also can control volume, but you must use the directional arrows (which are not marked for volume control). Minor thing, but it seemed worth mentioning. * Speaker is very, very quiet, even at maximum volume. While this is common for the majority of projectors (especially at this price point), this units speaker seems especially quiet. I had a hard time hearing while sitting right next to the unit at just under shoulder level. The headphone jack produced a similarly quiet, tinny sound. However, using a set of external speakers works pretty well. Overall: If you are buying this to have a animated movie night with your kids in the backyard or to project a sporting event on a big screen, this unit is a fairly solid choice (especially for the price).
