We have been watching movies outside with this thing and have had no issues. Speakers are good enough to hear, but you can and I do connect it to my own speaker system.

A week after I wrote the original review, the display began to flicker on and off. I wrote 3 emails to the seller without reply. Luckily this broke during the return window so I simply returned it. I would recommend not buying this product.

Worth every penny. My son wanted to play his Xbox games while outside in the backyard with his friends. Hooked this thing up and maxed out the zoom ability on it. Man was it awesome we had it at 80" wide and still looked damn good. Now the neighbors want one to have in their basement.

I bought this for conducting business presentations/trainings while traveling for marketing products and it has worked everywhere I needed it too. The picture quality is good and absolutely clear enough for audience. I used to watch movies on a small monitor with friends but now we are able to watch movies on a projector. It is really nice and its so affordable for such a family or friends movie night. The price was within my budget and it was very worth the cost. I didnt want to buy a tv because of the cost and it wasnt portable but this product did a very good job.

It was not even in dark room broad daylight I see the very bright picture. It is also equipped with a good speaker. You dont need any speaker unless you want a very loud sound. This is worth every dollar.

What an amazing item... it has everything that you need... very nice picture quality and sound is good if you are in a room. You can add speakers to it if watching in a bigger room. Very easy to install. My family liked it and we have watched 2 movies so far. Enjoyed to the fullest and felt like watching in a theatre

Got this for my Dad for Fathers day because he has always wanted a projector and the price was really good. The quality is definitely fantastic for the price of this projector, the only thing I would really say it needs is a Bluetooth speaker because the built in volume is a little quiet if you are wanting to watch movies outside. What I really liked is that you can hook up your Roku device to watch movies and TV really easily. Overall this an amazing projector.
