This projector was purchased to replace an Epson EX50, 2200 Lumen, projector we acquired in 2008. The rebuilt EX5240 was less expensive than a new model, is a 1000 lumens brighter (plus the decreased output from our aging bulbs, and the EX5240 also has an hdmi port, supporting newer laptops. We used this as a primary projector at a conference and were very please. Its only drawback is its lower resolution than newed projectors. all in all I highly recommend this unit

I upgraded from one model lower than this and they are about the same. To get high quality HD video you probably need to spend $1000 or more.

Great improvement over the Flylinktech that I returned. Have seen sharper projectors, but for the money its pretty good. Very little light fall off in economy mode, and when in economy mode it is very quiet.

Nice little projector. Used it in a large conference room with 120 attendees and a 10x7 screen. Even with slightly subdued lighting the picture quality was excellent. Easy to set up and use. Did not use speaker as the sound was "weak", but as we had a P.A system I redirected sound to the mixer. All in all good value for the price

The clarity of the projection is great. The wireless feature is a bit harder to figure out. We purchased this projector to use it during board meetings so I have not been able to use it outside of a room. In a well lit room, the projection was clear.

This product is great. The set up was pretty easy except for the figuring out how to turn the screen direction to a ceiling mount. I had to google the manual as this projector only came with quick start setup.

I bought this projector for my office to replace an old one we had. It have very high resolution, great for working on Excel and numbers. The lamp is so bright you can see it well even with lights on. Actually, with lights off it is kind of too bright.

Project went bad after two months. Epson agreed to send new projector after two hour service call. New projector arrived without lamp and I am being told I will need to waited two to three weeks for a lamp. I am being told to call back and check on arrival every week. Totally unacceptable!!!

Product works okay, however the only support available is through "authorized" shops. I live in Las Vegas and have to send it to Anaheim California 200+ miles for support. I contacted Epson support who told me they do not provide parts to other projector repair shops. check for available support before you buy. I use it as an instructor and the idea that I cannot get it service locally is a major negative.

We purchased this projector for the use of our church. It easily does the job for worship, sermons, and video clips. There are a few things that I would like to mention that I like about this Epson. First, it has a switch that can project the screen sideways instead of having to be right in front of where you are projecting. Next. it is easy to enlarge or make smaller by another switch. Third, you can easily adjust the legs or height of the projector for use. Overall, I would say, "User Friendly".
