OK, I rarely write reviews. This player spec and Samsung in general is great. However, I went for certified refurbished and trusted that to get one quickly on May 2nd. It arrived as promised, and I hoked it up to the new 4K TV. It links to Samsung TV fine, has the network, menus and smart features, just as expected (and are on our other two BlueRay players). Unfortunately, it will not read a BlueRay Disk. After several attempts to play a blue ray movie on it, I switched to the DVD disk, and it worked fine. Later I tried the BR disk again, and it finally loaded - and worked for the five minutes i checked it. I thought it maybe had smudged surface i had finally got clean. I then left on an extended trip. Now, on July 2nd, back at home, I wanted to watch a movie. No joy. I have gone thru five different BlueRay Disks, it tries to load, gives me the proper screen on the TV, and finally ejects the disk saying invalid media and says to clean the disk or it is the wrong format. The disks are all amazon from Disney. They all play on the other Samsung players. It does do a great job with DVDs. I recommend you do not buy anything refurbished. In my case, I saved only a few dollars, have a nice DVD player, and I am past my 30 day return window. I will have to find the documentation and see what to do about the 90 day warranty, and how much it will cost me to get a working BlueRay player out of my $80+ transaction.

Worked for a few months, but now keeps failing. Im hoping the company steps up and supports the product. But I have to say that it this point, I regret the purchase

Same problems others have noted. I just got it today and it didnt read the first blu-ray I put in. I opened and shut the tray and it played. I tried another disc and it just kicked it out and said it couldnt read it at all. The wireless would not stay connected either. No problems with the disc on my other machine. They didnt even seal the box it came in. I was surprised it made it at all. Boxed up and returning.

This product lasted less than 2 months. Overnight it stopped playing either Blu-Ray or DVD discs, making it absolutely useless. This is the second Samsung Blu-Ray player to the exact same thing. No one seems to know why. I will never again buy another Samsung disc player.

Worked great for 4 months. Stopped playing DVDs or blurays about a month ago. Of course no longer guaranteed. I was using it for screen mirroring still, but now it will just shut off at random. I will be purchasing another Samsung but not "refurbished"
