I sure wish they would put model years on electronic devices like this (I think this is 2015?) and specs that tell you what versions of wifi the device support, etc. Often listed specs are minimal. This device only supports 2.4 ghz which is barely adequate for streaming and there is NO LIGHT on front panel to tell youi when it is on, or off. Software is OK. Remote for this device only. Perhaps if you have a Samsung tv you can by with one.

Difficult to connect for Netflix, etc. Does not remember the Wi-Fi information. Have to unplug it then reenter info every time you want to watch Netflix. Worthless, going back to a Sony BluRay player. Dont waste your money.

I am having the same issues as someone stated earlier. I HATE THIS Blu Ray player and am definitely following their advise and go to Sony. I was on with the help desk with my internet provider and they said I needed to call Samsung, so I did....they told me I needed to call the internet provider. I told him I would be throwing it out and buying another brand. You can NEVER tell if its on and some days it will connect, other days it wont. It isnt the internet providers problem bc my other devises are identified by it. Just a note of recommendation to Samsung....put a basted indicator light on your devises so we can tell if the device is on or not.

purchased new looks cheep low quality build Wi/Fi stoped working after latest update customer service offers to repair player but I have only used it 3 times in 5 months and now its broken, I want my money back.

We tried this also and it would not connect to our wireless network so we had to connect it to a wired connection and then it would not turn on. Returned it.

Doesnt even deserve 1 star. The single most worthless piece of junk Ive ever bought. WiFi on this thing is horrible. Drops connection every min. Tray opens on its own when you hit the power button even when you just touch it to barely move it. No screen mirroring option either on this thing. I will never ever buy another samsung dvd player again. Sony dvd players are so much better.

We received this as a gift, and within 2 months the blu-ray disc player started screwing up. The player skips and turns off randomly 5-6 times every 30 minutes when watching a movie. The media player will not let me use amazon prime to stream videos, because its incapable of handling the bandwidth (my roku has no problem handling amazon prime).

I bought this player and watched 4 movies the had to reset for another movie and again. Now I cant watch a movie because it keeps restarting. I am going to take it back.

This thing sucks in more ways then I can tell you. First of all, there is no light to tell you the power is on or anything. Then I have it on and am watching NETFLIX or Amazon or whatever, suddenly it drops the wifi adn says there is no internet (yet every other device in the house finds the internet without issue), forgets the password, the IP address, a real hemorrhoid to reset. I found the best fix though.... Through the POS out and buy anything but Samsung. Then your troubles are over.
