Its great, just one problem. In software, there is a protection so it WILL NOT PLAY data on a disc. THIS IS A HUGE DEAL BREAKER AND NOT STATED ANYWHERE. AVOID THIS ITEM AS IT HAS ANOTHER STUPID DRM. cant play my halloween vids on here or family stuff. screw you samsung. only USB is useful and the networking mode is a waste of energy.

For the first couple days, it worked fine. Then it wouldnt play a couple older DVDs, so we thought it was just a formatting issue or something. Now it wont play almost every DVD we own, whether its 10 years old or brand new. Should have returned it when we had the chance. Also, it does not have a light to indicate if its on or not, and you have to press the eject button 2-3 times before it will respond. Terrible piece of junk

It makes a loud noise when you are watching a movie and consistently skips no matter what disc you play in it. I know its refurbished but it dosent even function in its most basic capacity. I purchased two more of these that are not refurbished and they play beautifully with no noise or skipping.

Considering this item? Buy a dog turd instead. This is garbage. No power light...really. I can’t tell when it is on or off. Takes forever to turn on so you don’t know. When it finally does start up I can hear the him f the machine over the volume of the movie. Oh yeah, it’s a year old and already quit working. If zero stars was an option I would have chosen that.

This BluRay player worked well for a few months but then it started shutting off for no reason during a movie. At first I thought it was a fluke and we dont use it that much so we would just turn it back on and try to find our place again. Eventually it got worse and worse and now it wont make it through a whole movie without shutting off several times. Of course the warranty period is passed so no help there. I think there is a reason there are so many "certified refurbished" versions of this Blu-Ray Player.

I stayed off of the Blu-ray boat until finally I decided to get one just to cover the few I can borrow from friends. I watched THREE, just three movies until this thing broke. There I was, having the kids finally calmed down watching Moana where halfway through a loud clicking starts and the movie stops. This thing is junk even before. From the get to, you had to press the buttons a few times to get it to turn on and then the open button a few times again. Thats what I get for going cheap but I figured itd last more than 3 movies

Apparently "Certified Refurbished" means "does not play Blu-Rays" (at least when buying from seller "CR LAND") -- who knew? The player turned on and loaded the menu, but wouldnt play Blu-Ray discs (even after a system update). I tried multiple different discs, but each time the drive just repeatedly spun up for a while and the system hung on "loading" before eventually giving an error message.

This isnt certified refurbished from Samsung. This is straight up USED. Item was in dirty banged up box and was dirty and scratched. Looked like someone used it to watch TV outside in a cornfield.
