I cannot get self feed to work. If there is paper in tray it pulls paper from tray not the paper being hand fed. If theres no paper in the tray and you hand feed you get a no paper error. Is there a specific setting for front handfeeding

Excelent printer. It let you print envelopes and many other smaller paper sizes, using the multiuse feeder and whitout any problem !

This printer does not support wireless printing without an additional purchase of a wireless adapter. I received this as a Christmas Gift, now I am afraid I will have to tell the person who gave it to me that I want to return it. Its unheard of these days to purchase a printer thats not capable of wireless printing out of the box. I looked everywhere in the box for the wireless adapter until I realized I would have to buy it in order for it to work. Should be a standard feature, and the description is deceptive; it says it "supports" wireless printing, even though when you first set it up it cant without the additional purchase. Very disappointing.

I recd the printer a few days ago and learned that it is not possible to print via mobile phone or wireless network without purchasing a network card for this printer. The product description states that it has wireless printing CAPABILITIES... in this day & age, I assumed that meant you can connect the printer to a wireless network right out of the box without any add-ons. NOT SO!!! You cannot enter your SSID and password into this printer -- theres no menu option for it! So I had to go old school and plug the printer into my laptop to print. Needless to say, Im pissed. I havent had to do that with a printer in the last 5+ years!!! At this price point, the customer should not have to buy another piece of equipment to print via mobile or WiFi. Sending the printer back ... shame on you, Lexmark!

This is a fantastic printer. I have owned and used Lexmark printers for over 17 years and they always perform extremely well . This printer is quiet and the duplex feature is efficient. The ethernet network interface is fast and the printer status web page is very informative. Lexmark does a great job. It is Business Class.

I bought this printer less than 11 months ago to replace a Brother mono laser printer that needed repairs that cost as much as this printer. I had used the Brother printer for more than 3 years. In the 10 1/2 month period that I have owned the Lexmark, I have used the toner cartridge that came with the printer, one high capacity toner cartridge, and about 1/2 of another. Im a fairly heavy user, but I dont use it as a copier. This last week the printer started printing "wonky." No solid streaks, but the occasional vertical line. Other places had insufficient toner applied. I cleaned the printer thoroughly, and still have the problems. Time for a new printer. The durability issue knocks 2 stars off the rating. Ive decided to go back to Brother for the durability issue and because printing letterhead or envelopes on the Brother is far easier than on the Lexmark. The Lexmark requires that I change the printer settings and push the "OK" button to feed the letterhead or envelope. Seconds add up to minutes, and minutes add up to hours. I dont have to take those extra steps with a Brother. The nuisance of having to adjust my workflow to accommodate the printer knocks another star off my review. If your not a heavy user of a printer, this isnt a bad model. Its just not as good as a similarly-priced Brother.
