This is a great proof of concept printer. Since it is not laser avoid buying this for handouts. It works well in for internal and personal documents. 4/5 stars since the price of ink (not toner) is still far higher than it should be.

Owned the 477dn for about one week and returned it. After a couple days the flap that opens for paper to come out started to get stuck. We were somewhat happy with this printer but its no laser. The paper still wrinkles on full page prints and it was slow to start. After returning we switched to the laser model and are much happier.

read the reviews and product description so I ordered it. arrived on time, set up was easy and its everything the description says; fast cycle time, fast print time, prints on both sides at once etc. so far love it

The document feeder takes in pages at an angle making all copies and scans crooked (it looks unprofessional).

Extremely fast printer. Crazy fast, compared my old tried-and-true Brother MFC that it replaced. I never thought Id but inkjet anything ever again, but this printer has me sold. The PageWide system is a game changer. The windows-based scanning software is a little flaky and has crashed a couple of times, but thats typical for HP: great hardware, shoddy software. Even so, this is a fantastic printer.

I wish I had kept my 8620 !! This piece of ____ plastic has more issues than its worth. You try to put cardstock in - error, you put regular paper in error, You program tray 2 and it draws from tray 1. Either you have to be a computer programmer to use it or it is just very user unfriendly!! When you can get it to print it prints nicely. I just wasted another hour trying to get it to print a job that kept saying error and then it was lost !!! Not to mention the print cartridges will require you to take a second on your home loan!

We had to return this printer because it would not print. We called HP tech support and they couldnt resolve the issue.
