What started out to be an okay printer, after one year of use - I would never buy this printer again. Not only the ink is very expensive, but the printing is only mediocre. The printer heads need to be aligned frequently and they go through lots of ink when going through the adjustment. I do about a 100 letter mailing on a monthly basis and the printer stopped printing envelopes - very frustrating. Overall very disappointed with this printer. Would not recommend and will stop buying Epson products.

This printer never worked properly. After replacing ink cartridges 3x and having it serviced 3x all three service tech agreed there was an issue with the ribbon never reaching the paper. It SOUNDED like it was printing, but all pages came out blank. We gave up for awhile - because it was a new printer that just wouldnt work, so we stopped printing. We took our work elsewhere to be printed - but that got old really fast. So, we finally bought a new one from Best Buy that works beautifully and we are in the process of trying to return the Epson WorkForce Pro WF 4720. I think it might have gotten damaged in shipping.

I didnt think I would write a review on this because I have used HP all my life and I feel disloyal; however I must speak. I have had this printer now for more than six months and cant say anything negative about it. Actually I love it. Even more than my HP. It was so easy to set up and use. I cant believe how fast it is in printing. It is much more compact. The top loader works great. I didnt have enough desk space so my husband made a wood frame and put four casters on the bottom and stuck it under the desk.(The casters need to be heavy duty because the printer is a worker. All in all I would highly recommend it.

This printer requires Firmware Updates constantly. You have to deal with manually downloading these updates instead of getting your printer job done. If you want to be sitting around reading your iPhone instead of working then this printer is for you. The price is cheap for a reason. Also the ink is beyond HIGH. It states t will not accept other cheaper inks. With My HP other inks ruined my printer. I had to trash it. Get another printer.

Having used this printer/scanner for seven months, Ive come to the conclusion that you should look elsewhere for a printer/scanner for a number of reasons. First, the document feeder is completely non functional. There has not been a single operation Ive tried with more than one page in the document feeder which has succeeded. Not one. Even if the paper is perfectly straight with no folds, the feeder jams. Every single time. Secondly, the replacement cartridges are very expensive.

I cannot say enough about this printer. It is wonderful. I had no problems setting it up. I dont have a built in dvd in my computer, so I went online and completed all the downloads with no problem what so ever and put in the ink and printed. The print was absolutely excellent. Havent tried all the other functions. Still just amazed over the print & copy. This printer will print on both sides without turning the page over and inserting it again, as I understand it. Great Price.

This is a fabulous printer that does everything one wants and more. A present drawback is that replacement parts like the maintenance box are slow to come on line. Another caveat is that Epson very cleverly has made ink replacements that are generic impossible to be used on this printer. So, you are stuck having to pay $140 or more for Epson ink cartridges. I guess, as a business model it makes sense to sell the printer for less than $ 100 and then sell outrageously priced ink cartridges for the life of the printer. Ah, the American way!

We bought this in August 2017. In Feb 2018 it would not work and displayed a scanner error message. After contacting Epson they deemed it was a hardware malfunction and the unit would need to be replaced. I called and spent 50 minutes working thru processing this. I had to give them my credit card number and they will charge it if I dont return the malfunctioning printer within 7 days. They are also sending a refurbished unit but the warranty is only good thru the initial purchase date. By the end of it they accidentally sent out two replacements of which they could not cancel the extra and charged my credit card twice despite me telling the supervisor the first agent already processed my card. I am overall very underwhelmed with this printer. Hardware malfunction in 6 months. Expensive ink. Difficulty connecting to the router requiring a restart of the printer daily to connect to the computer. Poor customer service. No thanks. I will not be buying another Epson.

This has been one of the worst items Ive ever purchased. I did a huge amount of research prior to purchasing this one. I settled on it because it offered (on paper) the best combination of functions, connectivity, and cost per page. I have found it nothing but a money pit. The cartridges it came with ran out in less than a hundred pages. I then bought replacement cartridges for it at more than the cost of the printer (I think it was like 120 dollars), rationalizing it because they were supposed to print several thousand pages of both color and black and white. However, after printing 2 color pages and perhaps 100 pages of black and white over the course of a couple months, one of the colors had been emptied and another was nearly empty. Moreover, despite the fact that I still had almost the entire black cartridge left, it wont let me print any black and white pages until I replace the empty color cartridge. Like that makes any sense. As if that werent bad enough, the connectivity I had hoped would be so easy has been a nightmare. I cant review the wired connections, but the WiFi Direct is awfully unreliable. Sometimes it works smoothly, but just as often it wont connect, or will connect and remain unavailable to print until I restart the printer, restart the computer, turn the wifi of and back on, or something else. Every time it requires a different combination of fixes to get it to work. Additionally, though there is theoretically a way to send scanned files wirelessly, I fought with it for several hours, scouring relevant help forums, downloading driver after driver and software package after software package to no avail. Its not my computer, because my computer is a top of the line Dell XPS 13. My roommates computer faces the same connectivity issues. This could be such a good printer, but Epson pulls all the same scams that other printer companies do to drain ink cartridges needlessly in the name of "cleaning" or whatever. Dont buy it. Stay away. It will turn your bank account into a sieve.

Having some problems that showed up when I changed the printer ink. I used the Epson replacement pack (black) that I purchased at the same time as the printer. I am now getting "printer nozzles have to be cleaned" every time I try to print. Print quality is terrible now.
