ViewSonic VA2055SA 20 Inch 1080p LED Monitor with VGA Input and Enhanced Viewing Comfort

Good colors but the speakers within the monitor do NOT go beyond a whisper amount of volume. I called Tech support at ViewSonic & the guy was not very helpful at all. I hooked up my old speakers from before & they continue to work great. I like how clear the screen and it was fairly easy to assemble...just READ the directions!

The monitor is great, controls are a bit vexing to use. The speakers are really weak, and practically non-existent, I bought specifically to get a better sound than the laptop, but not for gaming or anything, so this was disappointing that the speakers are worse than the laptop.

I really like my new monitor. I just plugged it and it worked beautifully. And it came at a fair price. Id buy it again!

A very good monitor blighted by the following: 1) There were no instructions, other than to set it to the highest resolution for best results. 2) It was difficult to find the controls, which I finally found along the lower edge. The control labels are cryptic, very small, and not highlighted so even when you find them they are almost impossible to read. But as a high resolution monitor it is excellent...hence the 5 stars...works extremely well with my HP G72 whose display had failed.

Monitor is sub-standard and contacted vendor and got no response and then return date expired and now stuck with a monitor I cannot use because it has only a VGA connector.

The Bad: This is a bargain basement monitor. The ghosting is bad enough that any gaming is impossible on it, and it only has VGA, not HDMI. A monitor without those problems, but one that is still cheap is only ~$10 more. The Good: The picture quality itself (when the picture is not moving) is actually quite nice! And, the price of course.

I needed this monitor for a very specific purpose, as a second monitor in a confined space. It has performed flawlessly, with a screen that is bright and clear. I would recommend it to anyone needing a smaller widescreen-format monitor.

Needed a monitor to fit in my 20" cove on my computer desk. I was hesitant on getting it because it had a VGA connection. Im using HDMI on my mini mac. Bought the VicTsing upgraded HDMI to VGA cable to make it work. Display is awesome. Sharp and clear. Perfect fro my needs. I would say I hit a home run with this monitor.

Initially I loved the monitor and its performance but, as others have reported, the power failed. It recovered after first failure but then began to power off after a few seconds. Eventually would not power on at all. Returned within 30 days and bought a different brand. I know its possible to get bad items but my experience appears not to be unique. Will avoid brand from now on.

Excellent picture, just plugged into the PC and it worked, no fussing with drivers (yet). Wish it had an HDMI input, but it works fine with the INTEL NUC using an HDMI-DVI cord. (Be sure you "select" the option for DVI and Speakers - otherwise, youll just have a VGA port). Speaker sound is rather low, even at full volume, but I havent looked at updated drivers or other possible reasons - though external speakers work fine...
