HP Pavilion 21.5-Inch IPS LED HDMI VGA Monitor with HP Pavilion Dual Monitor Stand

Lasted one year to the day that I received it. These 4 odd looking pixilated lines appeared in the middle of the screen and come and go. You only notice them on a white background. While the monitor was inexpensive and had a great display for the price, one year later it is time to start looking for a new one. Of course the warranty has long run out.

I purchased two of these monitors from Amazon. I thought that the price indicated I was buying a utility grade monitor. In my opinion, they arent that good. Pros: These monitors look good--both on stills and HD video. Brightness, contrast, colorimetry and resolution are all good. They are very light weight with a substantial base (not adjustable). Cons: (1) Sometimes they will flash between video and black screen with certain video content. I think when video contains lots of white. (2) They emit radio interference. I first noticed this when my cordless mouse developed dead spots on the mouse pad. I went to a corded mouse to fix the problem. Second, people couldnt understand me when I talked on my cordless phone while setting at my computer. They said my voice was very garbled. When I stepped back from the monitors a couple steps my phone worked okay. These monitors are not sufficient quality for office or frequent home use. They would work okay for utility use, email receipt, etc.

Better than advertised! It came in 2 days (I did not pay for extra fast shipping). It was very simple to set up and fits on my hanging wall desk just perfectly. The size if great -big enough to set up two sets of tabs for my work and still read all the numbers side by side. I stare at a screen for hours at a time and this one has me much less fatigued than the one it replaced. I would buy it again!

My wife decided she wanted her own little office space for her work computer for the rare days she works from home. I hate it when she uses my office since I have to disconnect the monitors from the main system and reroute to her laptop. So, I got her a desk for upstairs and a docking station. I already had a spare 21.5 inch monitor, but she wanted two monitors like she has at work. I found this product to be very affordable. I was able to hook it up quickly and I was amazed at the picture quality. I did not care for the placement of the input ports for the HDMI cables. They are right in the middle of the back of the monitor. This means the cable goes straight in making it hard to push flat against the wall or hand on a wall mount without the additional purchase of a 90 degree adapter. For the money, this product is well worth the purchase if you do not need to hang it or have it flat against a wall.

I bought two of these monitors in December of 2016, and currently (October 2018) one of the monitors has completely failed, while the other is exhibiting signs that its on the way out the door (see more below). Ive done all the common sense trouble shooting options (replace all video cables, power cords, and try em on a different computer) and it just sits there... with a black screen... laughing as the power button blinks at me. My first monitor to fail started randomly getting streaks throughout the picture about 3 months before it completely died. Unfortunately, my second monitor has started exhibiting similar symptoms, so... looks like I need to find 2 more monitors soon. Ive had bad experiences with HP laptops in the past (two Ive had only lasted about 2 years before significant hardware failure), but I figured these were a different product, so Id give it a shot. They had good reviews and a price that really turned out to be too good to be true. Im going to go find something that has a longer than 1 year warranty, and I recommend that if youre reading this that you should too!

I got this monitor around Christmas time. At first it was working great, and I loved it. About a month later, it randomly shut off, and didnt turn back on until the next day. It is now August of 2017, and the monitor randomly shut off again. I thought "ok, this will be fine, its happened before, and it will turn back on." It turned out it did not turn back on, and has been this way for two weeks. I dont know if this is common, but it happened to me, and it is just a warning to anyone who is considering buying this monitor, that it may shut off on you, and never work again. Also, hp customer service is awful, and doesnt work half of the time.

I initially started to look for an upgrade for 2010 Mac mini. So when I started looking at the prices for new computers I was horrified lol. The more I looked into it I started to realize that I wasnt getting a whole lot of bang for my buck to replace my old computer. I looked into selling my old Mac to make up some of the cost of a new computer. But the selling price was not worth it and the worry of selling it to the wrong person made it a good reason to keep it. I looked into upgrading my Mac, the prices of ram had dropped dramatically since I purchased it. I was able to purchase 3 Hp pavilion 22cwa which looks awesome if I dont mind saying. I know eventually the Mac will become obsolete one day but will have great set up for the next computer.

This came earlier today so Im just uploading it now, and it came on time! Great monitor screen and amazing color! Its great for computers and for ps4, yes! Ps4. Easy hook up, no problem at all. But I do suggest speakers If you wanna play your ps4 with sound. But Just use your ps4 head set or some ear buds for sound or buy some speakers for the monitor, other than that its good to go. Great Monitor! I was little hesitant at first because its specs seemed a little lower than others, such as contrast ratio and response time. Im an avid gamer who needed a new monitor right before college that wouldnt burn a hole in my pocket. Very happy with what I got. I also thought 21.5 was a little small for gaming, but its pretty big in person and itll definitely satisfy anyone who wants to watch movies or play games often. After about a months use, Ive encountered no problem, and only see quality!
