There are lots of great reviews on here that provide details on the specs of the computer or tips for good accessories. I wanted to focus on the main things I use a laptop for, and how it performed from a non-tech guy perspective. I am keeping in mind that this is a low pricepoint for a 2 in 1 laptop so I am not expecting too much to begin with. I just want enough for day to day use (streaming, documents/spreadsheets, web browsing). Prior to reviewing I did perform the following: -switched to Windows 10 Pro. This was free, simple, and quick to do. This gave me the ability to download my preferred browser (the most popular red/green/yellow icon one). -performed all updates. This took a few hour -installed Chrome -left all other default settings the same. After doing all these things I had 26 GB left free so I also inserted an SD card for future use. Streaming: I use almost all the popular streaming websites and was very satisfied with this laptop’s performance. I had no issues with buffering or delayed loading times. Once I clicked a video or movie, it streamed all the way through with no problems or lagging. Web Browsing: -Here I did experience some mixed results. When using my preferred browser I downloaded, about 1 in 5 times when I open a webpage, I immediately receive an error notice. I refresh, and it works fine. I have never experienced this with any other laptop before. It is quite frustrating, but again, this is a lower end model. I am hoping this works itself out with some future updates. I visited a number of websites and there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to why this happens. Even when using the preinstalled Edge browser I had this same issue. Documents,Spreadsheets, etc: -I downloaded the most popular document/spreadsheet suite and everything ran smoothly. Again, I just use this for day to day things like writing papers, keeping simple spreadsheets, nothing that would require a high level of computing power. Start Up/Opening apps: Starting up the laptop from sleep or powering on only took a few seconds. It didn’t feel dated or slow at all. It keeps up with a lot of modern tech. From startup it took about 7 seconds. From sleep it took about 2 seconds. When opening up apps, there was a 1 to 2 second load time. Overall Look/Feel: This laptop has a nice feel overall. Nothing I can complain about the laptop itself. I think it has a pretty slim profile for the price point. When comparing this to other laptops, I would say this falls more into the slim category than an average category. However, it’s on the thicker end of the slim category. One criticism I do have is a sticker that was hard to get off. It left sticky residue which I needed rubbing alcohol and a little elbow grease to take off. I wish they would rethink the adhesive that was used. Screen: You will definitely notice that the screen has a 1920 x 1080 resolution which is very good for the price. While it looks nice and smooth, I wouldn’t describe it as being crisp or comparable to higher end laptops. It gets the job done. Webpages look nice. Movies I stream look nice. That is all I need. No complaints. Touch screen worked fine. I didnt try a digital pen on mine. Sound: Again, no complaints here. I can hear everything loud and clear. It is loud enough to fill a small room. Problems: Within the first 3 days, the web browser crashed about 20 times when in light us, and the whole computer system froze up twice, requiring a hard reset. Once was when it was applying updates. Overall, I am happy with everything except the browsing experience and it freezing up. Unfortunately, these problems are unable to be overlooked since it impacts day to day use. I even had to start rewriting this review since the browser died out on me. Therefore, I ended up returning this laptop.
