Totally impressed with the appearance of the unit when I opened the box. Sure, you can find a few very minor flaws if you break out your magnifying glass, but hey, its been refurbished, you have to expect that. Setting up the operating system was quite easy if you are computer savvy, but if not, the audio set up instructions are quite helpful. Once the setup was complete, I installed all my apps and allowed the machine to do all of the necessary Windows updates. (This takes a while) After all was said and done, I was very pleased with the speed and operation of the laptop. Now for the "drawback", so to speak, you can not "Register" Windows because the operating system is specifically for refurbished units and is not available to register. This means that you can not "Personalize" the computer with any other wallpapers or any other way you want to change the appearance. You can however, spend $200 for a Windows 10 license if this is your choice, but personally, I can live with it the way it is, and even if you do, you will still have a Lenovo Think Pad in the neighborhood of $500, which is still very inexpensive as opposed to a brand new unit. I recommend this computer to anyone looking to save a few bucks and still have a great computer. Perfect for school. It was delivered one day late, but that was due to the shipping carriers delay and not the shipper, Blazing Prices.

This is my review of the refurbished T430 from MicroBee. I want to specify the seller that I purchased it from because i hope it will make a difference to anyone considering to purchase this item as i will explain below. First off, i have never bought a refurbished computer. My expectations were a bit low, but i was just looking for a business grade laptop for Microsoft office applications. However, to my surprise the laptop itself was in great condition. After reading many reviews, i thought that i wouldnt have some of the things that were in the description of the laptop. It did come with the web cam and a finger print scanner. Many reviews say these items were taken out, and covered up. This was a pleasant surprise. Also, there were no serious defects on the computer that were noticeable, which is nice. I may have hit the jackpot, but the battery was also in good condition. It isnt comparable to newer generation laptops. Its battery life is about 3 hours. There is a white spot on the screen, but with further research, this was a common issue with this generation of laptop. Also, something that i noticed is it didnt come with a back lite keyboard, but there were two variants that were made with this T430: Back lite keyboard and lamp over the keyboard, or just a lamp over the keyboard. I received just the lamp over the keyboard which is fine with me. The only issue i had was the charger that came with it..... it was a fire hazard out right. At the moment i have just put electrical tape over the exposed wires. However, why I am still giving this review 5 stars is because this is a refurbished laptop. You cant possibly expect everything to be perfect. To add to my satisfaction, I emailed MicroBee, and they responded in less than 3 hours of my email about this issue. They plan to send me another charging cable, and this will resolve that issue. The last thing to note is that it can handle a large load of excel documents and PDFs open at the same time. I did make one modification before the first boot up of the laptop, and that was I added a SSD. The hard drive that came with it is a 7200 rpm hard drive which isnt bad because most laptops come with a 5400 rpm hard drive, but the SSD made the boot times very comparable to my gaming desktop. This company is Microsoft authorized for refurbishing computers. They included instructions for the first boot up, and the product key for windows 10 pro worked without an issue. I will be updating this review after about 6 months, but for this price point, it makes an exceptional work or casual use computer.

I was a bit hesitant picking up two of these after reading a few reviews but I have a lot of experience with the T430s so I decided to go for it. Wow was I surprised! These 2 T430s are practically new! Both i5 2.6s with 8gb, 320gb HDs and webcams!. I swapped out the 320s for SSDs, did a clean install using the keys provided and I am pleased to report that there is nothing at all wrong with either laptop. I also want to add that these laptops where super clean! 100% recommended! Get one or more while you can!

I purchased this for my 89 year old mom, who needed a replacement for her AIO Dell. She uses a computer to play card games, check email and do simple online banking. She is not adaptable to change and is easily frustrated by "technology". I know little about computers and wanted to get her a system to which she could migrate immediately and which I could set up without calling in a technician--plug and play. Result? I am EXTREMELY pleased with the Lenovo Thinkpad T430. It delivered spectacularly on all my needs and requirements. Im sure we are under-utilizing its full functionality, but it could not have been easier to set up had Bill Gates been standing over my shoulder. My mom actually prefers the mouse touch pad to the wireless mouse she had before, and she likes the keyboard feel. The screen is sharp and its plenty fast. For students, seniors and those who just need a good laptop, I highly recommend it. I should also mention this was a refurbished model. I almost forgot because it seemed as good as new to me. The seller was responsive and professional. Five stars all around.

This unit is my second T430 purchased and I must say this one looks brand new. No blemishes or marks anywhere, and Im picky! There is no keyboard wear, no scratches on the case. This unit does not have the fingerprint reader, but my other unit reader doesnt work anyway. This unit came with the 70++ 9 cell battery and Windows 10 loaded. The battery goes all day and Ive seen no decrease in capacity after a few weeks of heavy use. I did notice one single pixel is out on the screen but its in the lower left area and not noticeable. My unit has a i5-3320 chip and 8GB of RAM. I immediately updated the "BIOS" and had no issues at all. Overall, a great working unit for normal (Im not a gamer) spreadsheet, word-processing and internet use. If youre looking for a straight up workhorse for a student or need an extra on hand - get this one!

So Ive actually purchased this laptop twice in the past 6 months. The first laptop worked fine but my son dropped it and broke the screen. The second one just came in but so far no problems. Ive really debated between giving between 2 and 3 stars though for one reason. This computer does NOT come with a webcam. The description says it does but neither notebook have a webcam. This is a minor annoyance since my son is in the military and we bought this for him to be able to skype with friends and family. Since its a pretty big hassle for him to send it back he decided to just live with it and use his phone for skype. But I feel someone should correct the description on the laptop.

The laptop came with pretty much same configuration as mentioned, except for missing webcam and an integrated Bluetooth. The real disappointment came when I realized that the battery is in poor condition. The maximum backup provided is 9 mins. I am surprised that these laptops are claimed to be Certified Refurbished and yet not thoroughly tested before they are shipped.

I am impressed with how well this Laptop runs. It works better than one I bought new a few years ago for around $900.00. After setting it up and checking the specs I noticed it had the better 1900 x 600 screen Resolution. I have not found the Webcam but would rather have better Display. I could not find any signs of wear on this making me think it was new. For the price I paid I am more than satisfied. Also in the comments I noticed the reviews were from different companies making it confusing to decide. Mine was from Blazing Prices and my review is on their product.

Laptop arrived well packed and clean from Sunset Micro. Condition is a solid B. Minimal wear on the keyboard and trackpad, no cracks or missing case pieces, perfect screen. The lid of the screen has quite a few scratches, especially around the edges and a gouge where an asset tag was removed. My laptop came equipped with an i5-3320M, 8GB of Hynix ram, a Toshiba 320GB HD I immediately replaced with an SSD, 1366x768 TN display (meh), 720p webcam, DVD-RAM drive, bluetooth, Centrino Ultimate-N wireless, gigabit ethernet and an SD card reader. It also has the ThinkLight LED that lights up the keyboard from above. Power supply is a genuine 90w Lenovo. There was an OEM refurb Win10 Pro license under the battery that was already scratched off but I had no problem using it when I did a clean install. Battery only has 4.9% wear and actually lasts 4-6 hours under regular use. For well under $200 this is a good buy if you are lucky. I’m docking 1 star because I ordered a T430, not a T430s. In many ways the T430s is an upgrade because it’s slimmer and 1lb lighter even though it has similar specs. It does not have a socketed CPU and the battery options are more limited. I suggest installing the Lenovo Vantage app from the Microsoft Store as it does a great job installing all drivers and updates. There was a bios update from March 2019 that it installed.

You are better off buying a laptop from another seller, which is not MicroBee or Comsale. I ordered this laptop to use for small web development projects while traveling. Mostly conferences and working vacations. This review is aimed purely at the seller and the quality of the item received, not the product itself. ThinkPads and nifty little laptops. The laptop I received has similar problems as other customers have noted: - Windows seems pirated, no windows 10 key and I could not activate the device. Right now I just put Ubuntu on it. - Computer wasnt completely wiped. I found a few shady batch scripts, so buyer beware. - Battery barely lasts 20 mins. Wasnt a deal breaker for me since I would only really use it plugged in. - One of the clips that is supposed to hold the battery in is broke, and the battery doesnt need much effort to come out. - The power adapter was not U.S. Not even sure what country it is from.
