I needed a portable windows device for work purposes. I really liked the surface go, but was hard to pass up on the transformer mini as it was half the price. I was a little hesitant just looking at the specs and screen resolution, but ultimately went with the mini as I only needed basic web browser capabilities, and not any heavy computing. Also wanted to be able to watch Netflix and you tube videos which it has worked fine for. I have been using it for a little over a week and am very pleased so far. As others have said, you need to update the bios and windows ASAP and then it works great. The screen is better than I expected. Black blacks, bright colors, great viewing angles. I’d like to have a little more resolution, but it’s turned out to be less of an issue than I thought it might be and only rarely notice. The screen really does look good, but on small type it would be nice to have the extra crispness with more resolution. It has been able to handle my work needs flawlessly so far, but again I am only using for light web based data entry and document viewing, nothing heavy. Also another tidbit of advice. At first I was disappointed with the video playback, but was able to adjust the settings to favor quality over battery life and now Netflix looks great. Equal to my iPad (which is 5 years old though) My overall impression is that it is a very good value, but it does fall short of some of the more expensive competition. If the surface go came with a keyboard or was about $100 cheaper I prob would have bought that instead, but I saved $300 by buying the transformer mini and was hard to justify buying the surface go. The mini is more than adequate for what I need it for, and so far am pleased with the purchase (and the extra cash in my wallet). If you don’t need a windows device, I’d prob by an iPad. If you really need the extra performance or screen resolution I’d buy a surface go. But if you’re basically looking for a really nice “netbook” that runs windows and don’t want to break the bank, the transformer mini is a nice option.

Processor works better than I thought it would. It can actually play some 2d games, like Limbo and Speedrunners. Its great for school. The stylus is fun and works fine when you get used to it, but the operation doesnt rely on it what so ever. Considering the price point of other windows tablets, this is hard to beat. I saved over $200 by going with this beauty over a lot of the competitors I was considering that just werent nearly as good in my opinion. One thing I really like about it is it has a factory battery life extender function. I have it set to only charge up to 60%, and the life still lasts over 6 hours with moderate use. Considering some of the bloatware it came with, the battery extender actually makes up for it. The keyboard and track pad is great for what it is. Touch screen is really responsive and nice. It has USB 3.0 and it charges using Micro USB. It can run desktop and mobile apps. If theyre both available, just pick which one you like more and uninstall the other. There is honestly nothing about this tablet I dont like, and I expect this to last me quite a long time.

Excellent notebook for traveling and watching videos. It is limited to 64 gigs of eemc storage, which I was aware of when I ordered. Didn’t think it would be an issue but the OS and a few programs eats up about half of it or more. Since most of my storage is in the cloud, it’s not really a problem but would still be nice to have more. It does have a slot for an SD micro card so you can add storage if you need it. Also, I read the eemc is slower than SSD. It doesn’t seem to affect performance for my needs but I would probably opt for the SSD. Finally, I really liked that it is a tablet with removable keyboard but I rarely, if ever use it that way. Still, it attaches solidly and flawlessly. My only reason for removing a star is the storage.

I am an online tutor and wanted a laptop that had an active pen like the surface pro so that my videos while Im in a tutoring session would be legible. I liked the surface and was very close to buying it, but I really didnt want to spend so much when Im not a person who normally is on the computer anyways. I mainly just use it for work. This laptop was perfect! The active pen words so smoothly and so efficiently, the screen has pretty great resolution for a "budget laptop," and its very portable and doesnt feel cheaply made. I got a 4 GB RAM laptop with 128 GB SSD. This is probably not great for gaming, but I dont game so it works fast and efficiently for me. The Pros: - Active pen is smooth and writes nicely on screen - Less expensive than the surface pro but works really well! No complaints for me here. - Screen is nice - Doesnt feel cheaply made. - Light and portable - Works fast and efficiently for me - Volume is really good! I was expecting otherwise but sound is actually very loud and clear. - I love that it keyboard is magnetic and folds over to raise the keyboard slightly - Touchscreen responds very well - Typing feels nice - Kickstand is very sturdy and I like how I can angle it different ways. Cons: - I dont like the color choices. There was one with a white and orange keyboard that I wanted but it wasnt available for the memory size I wanted. - I have small hands so it isnt an issue for me, but the keyboard is a bit small and I dislike how the shift key is small and cramped; I keep pressing the up button by accident. - I wish there was a better place to put the pen when not in use. It has a loop you can clip the pen on but i feel like they could have come up with something better than that. - The charger is like a phone charger so it takes longer to charge, plus it isnt as powerful and sometimes discharges while it is plugged in and Im using the computer. - I dont like how short the charging cable is either. - I wish there was more than just 1 USB port but I suppose I can always buy an extension.

I bought this around 6 months ago and I love it. I’m a college student so it wonderful when I can find a great product that can do everything I want at a reasonable price. I’m in the nursing program at my school and this 2 in 1 laptop has worked perfectly! I take a lot of notes, download a bunch of PowerPoints, and write papers, and I have had no problem with it. I really enjoy being able to write on the screen it makes note taking a little more fun. It also has amazing battery life. I had the Microsoft Surface 3 and I loved it, but then it stopped charging. I tried everything to fix it and I eventually gave up. The only problem I’ve had with this laptop is when I first got it the pen wasn’t working. I figured out a spring broke inside where the battery goes, so it wasn’t able to make a connection or whatever with the battery. I didn’t care too much because I still had my Surface pen which does work perfectly with this laptop. The only other thing I can think of that bothers me is that it that when I try to write on the screen with my pen if my hand touches the screen it draws a crazy line and kind of looks like the screen is glitching out. This isn’t a big deal I’ve figured out if I put a piece of paper under my hand while I’m writing it doesn’t sense my hand and everything works perfectly.

This review is for the T101HA without the pen. Size, form factor, and battery life - all great. eMMC and 4GB of RAM makes me forget that this thing only has an Atom in it when Im just web browsing. The drawbacks are a real letdown though. The teeny tiny charging cable is barely the length of my forearm, and whats worse is that because its a custom non-standard microusb cable, swapping it out for any longer generic one will only give you a minuscule amount of trickle charge. I originally bought this over the Surface-like model because I wanted something with a stable base to use on my lap. Unfortunately the hinge on the keyboard dock barely goes further than 90 degrees which is not ideal for using it anywhere below chest level when sitting upright. It honestly wouldve been my go-to device for everything, but because of these weird design problems, I can only see it being relegated to a travel companion while I continue to use my old bulkier laptop in bed because at least its charging cable is long enough to reach me.

What a great little tablet! I got this for my quilting machine and I love it! Screen size is perfect fit for the frame of the quilter! Would have liked a longer power cord, 3 feet is not long enough to reach the power outlet. Battery doesnt last 11 hours, maybe 9.5. It is perfect for me.

Disappointed with this purchase. I just wanted a small laptop to be able to take notes on and use to write papers but it cant even do that. The screen freezes constantly and changes to inverted colors randomly. The screen freaks out and then splits horizontally. This has happened a few times already and I am just fed up with it. Such a waste of money.

I bought this on October 15. This is probably the WORST tablet I have ever bought. I bought Chinese tablets for $75 that work better. From the beginning nothing works properly. The power button is lousy. To power on you have to press it almost a minute. The screen freezes for no reason at all. It is a struggle to wake it, touch is lousy and not responsive. What a monumental disappointment. I thought Asus was a better company. Dont buy. Asus support tell me to download latest driver but I already did that. NOT good.

Product was good until i noticed a crack in the screen. Not to worry, I found out I could easily send my laptop out for repair...or so i thought. The amazon website identified about a 10tat to repair upon receipt. The unit was received on 12/27 so I called amazon last week for help as the status stated...received. I spoke to a csr who put me on hold a few times. He said the repair service was covered by amazon. he said he would keep on eye on it and send an email status once he had an update. After 10 days I called in again and this is great...it took about 15minutes for the CSR to get an idea of what i was talking about..he put me on hold for 1-2mins every 45 seconds or so. he basically said that he would process a return(I told him i already sent it back), he stated he needed to check on it....CSR came back and said they would give me a voucher to have it fixed locally at their expense--I reminded him I already sent it in. After coming back the 4th time from hold...he said it was 1 week for transit to repair center, 2weeks for repair and 1 week for transit. he stated the repair may cost me to fix even though other person said it was paid - i told him i could care less but need the laptop. I told him it shows the repair center received on 12/27..given a holiday I understand but here we are 1/16/18 and status still reflects....received on 12/27......Net....buy a replacement screen yourself or take it to best buy for the repair. After 3weeks I am looking at a micrsoft surface (not from amazon) and will sell this when i get it back.
