Ive called a 3ed party retailer that sells these laptops and was told all of these models have slight back light bleed and its more of a lesser form of back light bleed. It really isnt noticeable unless you really look for in very dark games it and slightly noticeable during black transition screens. Ive decided to keep this laptop because after going through 10 literally 10 different laptops this one really is the best. and heres why. No stuttering. Battery does not drain while plugged in and gaming. comfortable gaming keyboard. amazing quality screen 144hz 3ms response time is a game changer. Fan noise is reasonable. (other small laptops sound like a jet engine with high pitch noises.) Build quality is solid and looks great. Some negatives (very few) Slight back light bleed, not a deal breaker hard to notice. Single dim of 16gb ram requires you to buy another 16gb for duel channel memory to unlock its full potential, aka 20% of your fps are lost due to only single channel memory.

Basically a portable gaming desktop. It has nearly no battery life but that is due to the beast of a machine inside. It more than compares to most desktops of today. Im not even aware that it has a touch screen if it does y would I care. For the size screen it is very good.. it could be higher res but it would lose something if it were. I use it when away from home.. I plug it in.

I really like the ASUS brand. I got this one because I could add a faster nvme drive. So I added the fastest one out there. What a difference. Yes, I would buy ASUS again. And the warranty price is great. You buy this online at stores that will build it for you and the price is ridiculous. Do a google search at what a reasonably price for a warranty is.

Performance has been good with this laptop and the screen is definitely better than my last one. Biggest complaint is in getting support and the keyboard. From the picture you can see that the left ctrl key has lost a significant amount of travel. Trying to find documents to repair it or support from Asus has been very difficult.

I was kind of scared to purchase this with the few negative reviews Ive seen. I purchased the GTX 2060 model with the 512 GB SSD and couldnt be happier. I am planning to add a second 1 TB HD for storage and was relieved to see that the ribbon cable adapter does come with the laptop. Performance on this laptop is amazing. Will play just about anything you can throw at it. Fans are kind of noisy when gaming or performing processor intensive tasks, but that is to be expected of a gaming laptop. The monitor is beautiful, the graphics card is great, and the aesthetics of this laptop are very appealing. A couple of downsides: The included software for changing the colors on the keyboard does not appear to work properly. Will change colors but seems to only allow one color across the entire keyboard. Battery life is poor, as to be expected from a laptop of this nature. Its meant to game. Not last all day on battery. All-in-all, I am very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this laptop to others wanting a more mobile PC gaming experience.

This laptop will overheat while playing World of Warcraft. I cant figure out why. I have bought and attempted to even use a Nobelbird Cooling Pad to see if this will help with this issue and it does help. I will not advise buying this product for gaming. Have no other issues. While playing for about 20 or so minutes before system shuts down everything is great. So for what I bought this laptop for was gaming this is the reason for my rating. After further investigation on my issue with this laptop I found that the issue was not a overheating issue but that while playing my games I.E. World of Warcraft that after approximately 15 to 20 minutes of playing with the lid closed this unit would either go into "Sleep mode or Hibernation" without any notice. No matter what the settings were for the lid not doing anything when it was closed & power settings set to never for the shut down for the HD. It was evident that this is what happened cause upon starting back up my game was still running although it was disconnected from the servers. Thanks for the support from Amazon they were able to issue a RMA for another unit which arrived today. Other than this issue I found not other issues with this unit and would recommend this product. Another change in RATING: Final review for this piece of dog doo. The original unit that I got was having issue with shutting down while on external display "Sanyo TV Model FW40D36F" and with all available power setting for when the lid is closed "DO NOTHING". Well Amazon was good enough to do a "RMA" on it and now have the replacement unit all set up as the original one ordered and guess what, THE SAME DARN THING IS HAPPENING WITH THIS NEW UNIT. I have searched all over for a answer to this issue but can not find any answers. Of the ones I did see I did what was advised but to no avail. So if you are looking to get a gaming laptop and want to use a larger display like a TV then I DO NOT SUGGEST THIS MODEL. I know for a fact that this can be done because this TV was being used by my son on his GIGABYTE laptop with no issues. There is an area in Windows10 about DisplayHDR capability devices for unites like this one and per Sanyo web site my TV is DisplayHDR capable, but Windows10 is saying NOT. So what am I saying, how can you believe in, Windows, ASUS or Sanyo. I can still play my games ( WoW, Anthem and TC Division2 ) with the lid slightly raised but this defeats the issue.

Runs games quite well, however the laptop acts as if there is no battery in it. It wont power on if unplugged and immediately shuts down if unplugged. I would expect these sort of issues with a cheap laptop, but this one was very expensive. Their support teams only option is RMA, which takes 10 days not counting shipping. Rather than go over 2 weeks without a computer, I think Ill go with a different brand, like MSI.

Not a gamer, so no comments on that. Everything worked out of the box. The ribbon connector for adding an SSD or HDD in empty bay was provided and it worked when installed. Seemed a little crude to have to have to "install" it and frankly it wasnt initially obvious how to do it. After setting up system from basic power up - manually checked Asus for SW & Firmware updates. Surprised at how many there were for a "new" system just purchased. Bios Firmware was a few levels back and every major driver and even the chipset had an update. installed all of the them and it still all worked - no problems to report. Battery life is so-so. It lasted about 1 1/2 hrs for a wireless Skype session (driving an external TV via HDMI) before warning that had about 10 mins left. Thought Id get at least 2 hrs. The net - have used the system for about 4 weeks now with all manner of Apps used for work. It has preformed well.
