Initial reaction - nice shape, comfortable wrist rest. Others have mentioned a strong smell. To be honest, I didnt notice any smell until I put my nose to the mouse pad and sniffed it. After receiving the mouse pad I removed the plastic on the bottom of the pad. It had a multitude of air pockets and caused the mouse pad to skate around. After removing the plastic the bottom of the pad had a very tactile feel and resisted any sliding movement. A day or two later I received an e-mail from Vic Tsing that said "... there is no need for you to tear off the film. Otherwise the bottom of the silica gel will generate the attraction to the desk, which may cause some damage to your desk." I dont know if they mean a chemical reaction will take place that could damage the finish of the desk, or more likely, the mouse pad will resist any movement and if you try to move the mouse pad on the desk without first lifting it off the desk it could damage the desk. In any case, the mouse pad seems to work fine with the Logitech G603 mouse I am using with it. Other mouse pads that I have used show a depression in the gel pad over time, reducing the cushioning effect. So far, I have not experienced this with the Vic Tsing mouse pad. Only time will tell how it stands up to repeated use.

The mouse pad is of pretty good quality and has a non-stick base. Be sure to peel off the plastic covering upon arrival. As others have stated, the wrist wrest is a little firm but not bad. The actual surface of the mouse pad is a bit more course than other plastic/fabric mouse pads I have had for the last 30 years. After taking some time to get used to it, this isnt an issue. With time, I assume it will get smoother as the mouse pad is worn down. Over all, a good mouse pad and great for the price. It seems to be more difficult finding a good mouse pad with a wrist rest these days.

This mousepad smelled horrid. As soon as I opened the ultra cheap plastic wrap, the smell "burned" my nostrils and stayed with me for awhile. The bottom rubber also looked funny. I set it aside for a few days and then tried to use it. The smell made me light headed... I think it may have been toxic. I threw it away.

I like this mouse pad. The no slip on the back is great and the wrist support is just what I need for my wrist issues. I bought one a while back and for some reason the edges started curling up. It became unusable. The seller saw my comments on my review and reached out to me with a free replacement. The new one is working perfectly so I am very glad they reached out to me. There is only so much I can say about a mouse pad. It does its job and it is very responsive with my optical mouse. But the customer service has been above and beyond. They support their product and bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied. I love working with companies like this and I wish there were more sellers out there with this positive, customer oriented attitude

This is my second VicTsing Ergonomic Mouse Pad with Gel Wrist Rest Support. The previous one lasted exactly 19 month before it started leaking gel from the wrist rest. In all fairness, I used that mouse pad 7 days a week at least 10 hours a day, and I am a little heavy handed. For the price I certainly cannot complain about the product, and if this replacement last just as long, I will be happy. I wont hesitate to buy another one in the future. It is very comfortable and keeps your wrist and forearm in proper ergonomic position.

I ordered this to replace an old Belkin wrist rest mousepad after reading the reviews of the changes to the revised version that made it worse. When I first tried this pad the Microsoft optical mouse didnt track well and I was ready to return it. After a little time it has started to work well and Im keeping it. Im not giving it a 5 because the shape is less than ideal. The wrist rest (actually for the heel of your hand) is too narrow, and if you reach over for the mouse withiout looking your hand is likely to land off center. Thats less comfortable. The rest is soft but has more core firmness than some people may like once it has been compressed a little. If youre really particular you would do better going to a store and feeling the pads rather than hoping that a written description will suffice.

This is a very nice mouse pad and design. The edges are lightly "crimped" giving it a more finished appearance and less chance for edge fraying. The gel is in the right place and is comfortable. This pad is as good if not better than more expensive varieties with touted 3M reflective coating. My only negative is that the newer VicTsing full size pads have a better coating and better tracking. Dont get me wrong, the tracking is very good, but the newer model is better. I am a heavy gamer and I also happen to do a little bit of work on my computer. I hadnt needed a wrist pad for years but I picked up a shooter game that made my carpal tunnel flare up immediately. A friend suggested I get a wrist pad for my mouse hand and suddenly the pain is gone. It takes a while to get used to if you arent used to having the pad there though. Im so glad theres a sticky surface on the bottom because it was moving around a lot without it. I did clean the surface before sticking the mouse pad on. Definitely recommend this product if youre having problems with wrist pain.

I already had a mouse pad with a gel wrist rest of another brand. The top cover on my old mouse pad had a bizzare ability to attract dust and dog hair like I had never seen before. Every 3 days I had to clean it using sticky tape to remove all this. This material does not share this tendency, it stays nice and clean. The VicTsing mouse pad does not have as large a wrist rest, but my wrist doesnt travel much these days. I use a mouse/pointing device with a track ball so the mouse stays in one place. So does the mouse pad on my desk - another difference that I like.

I know I know... youre prob looking at my profile and going how on earth can he say that mouse pad is good, well, the way I hold the mouse and move it, I need wrist support, this type of mouse pad has always worked for me and yes, my friends laugh at me but it just fits me and my style of mouse movement (from the wrist). Ive been using one since around 2005 and never looked back. In fact, the one I was using before buying this one, was that same one I got for free (at a convention) in 2005 lol... but yeah, it needed replacement, was kinda yucky (ew) so this one was the chosen one after reading up on reviews. It did have a strong chemical smell when it arrived but that went away quickly and its been great. Doesnt slip thanks to its underneath and the gel is nice with the perfect feel for me.
