Nikon NIKKOR Z 35mm f/1.8 S

+ excellent image quality + very sharp, low distortion + fast and accurate AF - not the feel of a 1.4, let alone a Leica lens... Its a quite big, but light and well built 35mm than can cope with the sensor res of the Z7. (My AF-S 35/1.4 only delivers around 28MP, hence doesnt do on the Z7). What I would have hoped for is a 1.4 version that would get closer to (but probably never reach) my Leica Summilux 35. Overall, more versatile than the 50mm (which is also awesome).

This native lens is a winner. Fantastic color saturation, nice contrast, and it’s sharp corner to corner. Weather sealing is second to none and it’s a very light lens. Build quality is superb. Would be nice to get a native pancake lens Nikon. Wishful thinking.

Just the right angle that you can get a bunch in and at nearly 50mp on the Z7 you’ve got plenty of room to crop. It is super fast and with the stabilisation of the Z7 you get ridiculously sharp shots.

A lovely lens, my first new S lens choice for the Z7. Cant wait for the 20mm f/1.8.

Native lens, perfect walk around focal length. Solid build, One key point, it is big! and fairly heavy, if you are thinking you are getting a light weight 35 mm, you are not. This is a serious lens. I have not enough experience to say that it is a image superior lens but so far so good. I consider the lens a good investment.
