Although I just received this Neewer flash for less than a week, I really like it. Its a manual setup and works pretty well when I need it. I feel very balanced and just right. I was very impressed with the setup, so satisfied with this purchase.
A great deal for an affordable flash. Works the way its supposed to on my a6300. Its a great size since Sony bodies are a bit smaller than your typical DSLR. Build quality is great, the plastic feels good and the pivot point feels really solid. Love that it comes with a case, flash stand, and stofen diffuser. The modes work well, the buttons dont feel cheap and the LCD screen is bright and easy to read. Highly recommend for Sony users!
Good product and fast shipping
Used it and it got hot when taking pictures quickly. Not sure why.
Have used it once with fresh alkaline batteries. Fired about every second shot. Absolutely no discussion of this in their troubleshooting guide. Going to try it one more time. If it doesnt work any better than the first, it will be returned!
When using the flash, there is a huge delay between pressing the shutter button and shutter release (shutter lag). im not sure if it is the same with the original Sony flash
Great flash! I used to be a Nikon guy and had SB600, and as a novice/better than average/casual photographer, I am super impressed with it. Takes 2 AA batteries. Have read battery life isn’t great, but glad it takes only 2 instead of 6. Definitely recommend from my experience so far.
Loved it at first, but after two months it smells like its burning while I use it.and its heating up the diffuser to the point where its melting the plastic..
