Good auxiliar for the camera

Excellent design and solidly built ring flash. Ive used this unit for many years trouble free with my Canon 100mm f/2.8 L II macro lens.The flash ratio feature is very useful and easy to use. It can be set in half-stop increments from 8:1 to 1:1 to 1:8 (for a total of 13 settings). This feature allows you to achieve a more sculptural, modeled appearance to your subject. My only minor complaint with the MR-14EX is the control buttons are very small and recessed into the housing making them somewhat difficult to operate, especially for big-fingered people like myself. Still, this is an indispensable accessory for serious macro photographers and well worth the investment.

I getting ready to buy the older version to this ring flash until I did my research. I have the strobe units 600 Ex-Rt and this no different. This unit even has wireless trigger capability. I had no idea until I read the manual. This product is the best. But did you expect anything less by Canon??? I would think not. Thanks Amazon. EG
