When I received this it worked awesome when I did some test shots. I took it to my company party and it would not work at all. I changed the batteries with new ones that I had taken with me as I was not sure how long the batteries would last and still nothing. I had my son look at it and one of the metal strips on the battery door was missing. It must of fell off when I put new batteries in it when I was still home as I wanted to be assured that I would be able to use it for 3-4 hours. It was a real bummer as I had to use the camera flash in a very dark setting and not able to adjust the flash and bounce the flash
