I received my camera just days before Christmas and I love it!! I have always been a Canon person until trying one of these out in Costco last year. This camera gives me so many options and the VR lens is far superior to the Canon. All of my photos so far have been indoor with low lighting compared to what I will be able to do outdoors with it, which is why I know that the quality I am getting now will be that much better outside. This isnt just a beginner level camera, its good to have some knowledge of ISO and your F stops in order to get the most out of it.

I absolutely love my camera!! I have never owned a DSLR camera or anything quite this nice. I have been taking pictures like a crazy person since I actually got it! The camera functionality is super simple to understand, swapping the lenses is a breeze. This was an early Christmas present for me and one that I absolutely love. I bought this camera before going on a road trip to Yellowstone National Park. I took some classes to get more familiar with shooting in the manual mode. I absolutely love this camera. It is my first DSLR, and Im happy I went with Nikon. I have taken some great photos with it and its held up quite nicely. I think its a great starter DSLR.

Perfect beginner package. Purchased for my 17 year old for Christmas last year and it has been 11 months and she still loves it. It was highly recommended to me for night pictures and so far it has been perfect for her. She photographs the sky often and her pictures are so much vibrant than those with entry Cannon cameras.

Awesome camera. Got this as a Christmas gift. Great for amateur photography. Mine came with the 18-55mm and 55-200mm lens. Great for family photos, taking pictures outside, and kids activities and sports. The max resolution is 4000x6000 so it can produce a decent size print of great quality depending on what pictures you take. The controls are easy to figure out once you read the manual and then play around with the settings. I best way to learn the camera inside and out are to manipulate the settings and see what pictures you get.

I purchased the 2 lens kit (18-55 and 55-200) and i couldnt be happier. Its a great camera for the money and it takes fantastic pictures if you know how to use it. Its a Nikon, so it will accept any Nikon lens. I had some old ones from my Nikon N60 film camera lying around and they attach and work great with the D3300. Mine came with all the needed cords, camera bag, 2 lenses, battery, charger, strap and of course the camera body itself. Theres a reason that this camera is on so many "Best Camera" lists, for the money nothing else comes close. I highly recommend this product.

So far the camera is amazing. I wanted to get the D3500, but because I could buy extra accessories AND a camera, I decided to go with this one. No regrets, the camera is easy to use and it has a great price. I would have loved if the bag that came with it had a zipper, but I guess nothing is perfects hehehe. Let me tell you something, the camera is a little bit smaller than other DSLRs (not that much though) which in my opinion I think is good. I MADE A MISTAKE!! I bought a strap separately because I thought the camera did not come with a strap, due to the fact that they dont say anywhere that it comes with it. So, THIS CAMERA COMES WITH A STRAP INCLUDED PEOPLE.

Arrived on time in perfect condition. What can i say about this camera that hasnt been said? It really is amazingly capable in even a professionals hands. And Im sure a beginner could pick it up and just instantly start shooting great images. I just switched from a Sony Alpha and i couldnt be happier. If your thinking about getting this camera then do yourself a favor and just get it- you will not be disappointed

As far as starter cameras go, this is a great deal. You wont get better picture quality for the price. I would recommend this for people who want to either 1) just want better photos than what their smartphone can take to record their travels and events or 2) want to see if photography is something they can get into without spending an arm and a leg for a kit. It accomplishes both goals admirably.

This is an excellent buy for someone starting in the the world of photography. I really have no previous knowledge of photography so I can really review this camera as a beginner. I must say I was quit daunted by SLR cameras as Im only accustomed to the point and shoot ones so I wasnt sure if I could have taken great pictures with a DSLR camera. But to my surprise I got really stunning results! To begin with this camera is quite lightweight and is great for smaller hands like my wifes ones (who I actually brought the camera for) She used it with the greatest of ease.The quality of the camera lenses and bag is very sturdy and yes even though I knew Nikon made great cameras the finish and use of all the buttons switches etc. were very smooth and solid. As beginners we relied heavily (and solely for now :-) ) on the automatic settings that came with this camera. I must say I was actually blown away by the quality of pictures we got with these setting even in low light. We went on vacation days after we brought this camera and got amazing pictures despite our lack of photography knowledge.The child setting was really impressive as I got some wonderful shots with my kids in action which looked really professional. If in doubt the auto setting was always great and I can say no picture was really bad. Its nice NIkon has 2 lenses with this kit which came in handy for the distant shots and the "professional" close ups. It really had our interest at a peak. It comes with VR but the pictures I always got were so clear I really didnt have a need to use it thus far. My only "con" for this is not with the camera itself but it would have been nice if lens filters were included to protect your lenses. We are now getting into understanding some of the basics of photography and in time we will really use this camera to its full potential. But if you really want to learn photography this camera is a real motivator. I also recommend buying this camera through amazon and not through a 3 rd party seller as the delivery was fast and a lot of 3rd party sellers do have a mix and match set with non original nikon fittings where I heard other reviewers complain about parts dont fit etc. This set came directly from nikon itself in one box and it works perfectly!
